Wearing My Baby slings began on the kitchen table in Catherine Jenkins'
home in San Diego, California. Before her daughter Sophia was
born, Catherine searched for the perfect baby carrier, the idea of being
able to have her hands free to do tasks and still hold her baby close
made a lot of sense. During her search, she found the pouch style sling.
She liked that it was quick and easy to use,(baby in, baby out) not have
to fool with wrapping or tying materials and Sophia loved being in it.
She soon realized that the sling was lacking a few things, a big pocket
that can fit 'stuff' and padding for baby's legs. From these ideas came
the first Wearing My Baby sling prototype designed with leg padding and
a big pouch-like pocket with an elastic opening. Other moms who saw the
sling started asking where they could get one. Catherine enjoyed making
slings for friends and sharing them with moms; her husband Adam
encouraged her to start a business so more parents could enjoy wearing
their baby... Wearing My Baby, the company was born.
Today Wearing My Baby slings are found online and in a growing number of stores all over the country.
